Ffestiniog Railway Midweek in March
22nd March 2006

Somebody told me I wasn't impulsive enough the otherday... well how about this. 22nd March, and two rare occurrences correlated: firstly the sun was shining, and secondly I had a day off.

With nothing better to do I headed off to the Ffestiniog to take some pictures in the sunshine. Oh and I also bought some beer... well a lot of beer attuacally!

Blanche was traction of the day, although she wasn't steaming well at all, but we made it up to Blaenau - nearly on time - the conecting 153 kindly waited for us.

I had expected a quiet day as it was midweek, but to my suprise nothing was further from the truth - two coach parities plus a very impressive number of general puttings and even a few gricers! The result was a packed 7 coach train, not bad at all.
