On 27th of January 45112 worked "The Tubular Belle" from York to Holyhead via Derby. With FM Rail (operators of the locomotive) recently having been placed in administration, and 45112 lacking OTMR equipment (which will soon be required to be fitted to all mainline locomotives), this was billed as last mainline Peak tour for the forseeable future. Despite having failed on both of its previous two tours, 45112 performed faultlessly (although due in part to 47847 providing ETH at the rear) and ran bang on time.
The future for 45112 is now unclear, but heres hoping that the locomotive will continue to entertain its fans in the future.
